COMPUTER AIDED DRAFTING (CAD) TECHNICIAN

Sunset Air, INC is looking for an experienced OR entry level CAD Drafting Technician to support their design-build operations in, Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Mechanical, Plumbing, Direct Digital Controls, and Solar/Geothermal/Renewable Energy work.

Responsibilities:

Candidates must be able to provide professional-level CAD drafting skills to generating designs from hand or electronic mark-ups provided by Sunset’s engineering staff. Candidates are expected to work with Engineers, Project Managers, Superintendents and Foreman through the construction process and into the As-Built CAD phase.  Candidates will be required to learn and implement to following company protocols: CAD layering, File Management.

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with the Autodesk AutoCAD Platform.
• Familiarity with Revit (desirable but not required)
• 2-year degree in CAD or related field (desirable but not required).
• Computer knowledge with PC-based applications including Windows, Excel, Word.
• The ability to manage project responsibilities independently and work independently with little supervision.
